Food allergy (FA) arises from a complex interplay between an individual's genetic predisposition and environmental factors, and its prevalence is increasing. Genome-wide association studies to date have been hindered by small sample sizes and varying FA definitions. We sought to identify novel FA risk loci by conducting a genome-wide association study meta-analysis in children and adults by using a multiphenotype approach to ensure a good trade-off between sufficient sample size and valid FA definitions. Analyses were conducted separately in children and adults on the basis of the following FA phenotypes: self-report, doctor diagnosis, food-specific sensitization, and doctor diagnosis plus food-specific sensitization. A meta-analysis was performed of genome-wide association studies from up to 16 cohorts of people of European ancestry including 229,426 adults and 14,234 children. Models were adjusted for sex, age, principal components, and, if applicable, further study-specific confounders. Sensitivity models were additionally adjusted for hay fever. Replication was conducted in additional external cohorts and a validation in oral food challenge-defined FA cases. Cerebrospinal fluid amyloid beta 42, total tau, and phosphorylated tau 181 are well accepted markers of Alzheimer's disease. These biomarkers better reflect disease pathogenesis compared to clinical diagnosis. Here, we perform a genome wide association study meta-analysis including 18,948 individuals of European ancestry and identify 12 genome-wide significant loci across all three biomarkers, eight of them novel. We replicate the association of biomarkers with APOE, CR1, GMNC/CCDC50 and C16orf95/MAP1LC3B. Novel loci include BIN1 for amyloid beta and GNA12, MS4A6A, SLCO1A2 with both total tau and phosphorylated tau 181, as well as additional loci on chr. 8, near ANGPT1 and chr. 9 near SMARCA2. We also demonstrate that these variants have significant association with Alzheimer's disease risk, disease progression and/or brain amyloidosis. The associated genes are implicated in lipid metabolism independent of APOE, coupled with autophagy and brain volume regulation driven by total tau and phosphorylated tau 181 dysregulation. Show less

Early and accurate detection of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is essential for timely intervention and development of disease-modifying treatments. The DZNE-Longitudinal Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Study (DELCODE) provides a deeply phenotyped cohort covering preclinical and early clinical stages, including subjective cognitive decline (SCD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Astrocyte reactivity and its biomarkers, particularly glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), have gained increasing attention in AD research; however, the relationship between GFAP and amyloid in early disease, as well as its potential prognostic value beyond its association with amyloid status, remains insufficiently understood. To evaluate the performance of CSF and plasma GFAP across early disease stages, compare these measures according to amyloid status, and assess the prognostic value of GFAP for clinical progression across diagnostic stages during longitudinal follow-up. This study used data from the multicenter DELCODE cohort in Germany, including participants with available plasma and/or CSF samples and standardized clinical, cognitive, imaging, and biomarker assessments. GFAP concentrations in plasma and CSF were quantified using validated immunoassay platforms. Standard CSF AD biomarkers and ApoE genotype were measured using established assays. Amyloid status was defined by the CSF Aβ42/40 ratio. Longitudinal follow-up occurred annually for up to ∼10 years, with clinical conversion determined according to NIA-AA criteria. Plasma and CSF GFAP increased across the AD continuum, with higher levels in MCI and AD (p < 0.001). Plasma GFAP showed a stronger association with amyloid status than CSF GFAP across all groups. In MCI, plasma GFAP combined with age and ApoE4 yielded an AUC of 0.87. Elevated plasma GFAP predicted increased risk of conversion to MCI (HR = 2.19, p < 0.001; adjusted HR = 1.70, p = 0.0056) and AD dementia (HR = 3.5; adjusted HR = 2.49 both p < 0.001). Plasma GFAP is a sensitive, minimally invasive biomarker with diagnostic relevance for amyloid detection and prognostic relevance for clinical progression in early AD. Show less

Imaging studies showed early atrophy of the cholinergic basal forebrain (BF) already at prodromal stages of sporadic Alzheimer's disease (AD). Women and carriers of the ApoE epsilon 4 (ApoE ε4) allele are more likely to develop the disease; however, the underlying mechanisms are still unclear. Here we aimed at exploring the impact of sex and ApoE ε4 genotype in the AD spectrum on longitudinal measures of the basal forebrain and hippocampus, as a comparison region. We leveraged the German multi-centered study DELCODE and analyzed 712 individuals (median age: 71.25 years, interquartile range [IQR] = 9.22) with follow-up MRI scans (median time: 2.8 years, [IQR] = 1.75). If replicated, these findings suggest that hippocampal measures may be more sensitive longitudinal biomarkers in ApoE ε4 homozygotes, while sex- and ApoE ε4-related effects on the cholinergic system may be more prominent at earlier disease stages. The PromarkerD test accurately predicts diabetic kidney disease. We aimed to determine whether PromarkerD and/or its constituent biomarkers would also identify an increased risk of distal sensory polyneuropathy (DSPN) complicating type 2 diabetes (T2D). We selected 160 community-based adults without baseline DSPN (mean age 69 years, 56% males), 80 of whom were free of DSPN after four years and 80 who developed DSN based on the vibration perception threshold. Baseline plasma apolipoprotein A-IV (ApoA4), CD5 antigen-like protein (CD5L) and insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 (IBP3) concentrations were measured and PromarkerD risk scores were generated. Logistic regression modelling assessed associations between PromarkerD risk and its component proteins and incident DSPN. At Year 4, 77 of 151 with valid data (51%) had developed DSPN. The PromarkerD area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.53 (95% CI 0.43-0.62). The odds ratio for the PromarkerD score for identifying incident DSPN was 0.97 (95% CI 0.82-1.16, P = 0.76), with similar non-significant results for plasma ApoA4, CD5L, and IBP3. PromarkerD and its constituent protein concentrations, each with some preclinical or epidemiological evidence of an association with DSPN, did not predict incident DSPN over 4 years of follow-up. These data support microangiopathy-specific pathophysiological mechanisms in T2D. Show less

Diabetes-related chronic kidney disease (DKD) is a leading cause of end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), requiring costly dialysis or kidney transplantation. Existing standard- of-care tests for DKD have several limitations, and an alternative is Promarker®D, a validated plasma biomarker test system that predicts DKD in adults with diabetes up to 4 years before symptoms develop. To enable high-throughput application of PromarkerD, a novel CaptSureTM immunoassay version of the test was developed targeting plasma biomarkers Apolipoprotein A4 (ApoA4) and CD5 antigen-like (CD5L). The analytical performance of the assay was assessed, and clinical samples from 2 independent clinical cohorts (>1700 adults with type 2 diabetes [T2D]) were used for the development and external validation of the DKD predictive test. The PromarkerD test system combined ApoA4 and CD5L concentrations with clinical factors age and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) to calculate risk scores (0% to 100%) and classify study participants as either at low, moderate, or high risk for future kidney decline. PromarkerD demonstrated reliable analytical performance and provided a high discriminative capability in adults with T2D (receiver operating characteristic area under the curve [ROC-AUC]: 0.78 to 0.88) to predict 4-year kidney decline, defined as incident DKD (eGFR <60 mL/min/1.73 m2) or eGFR decline ≥40%, with sensitivity of 75.8% to 85.1% at the moderate-risk cutoff and specificity of >92% at the high-risk cutoff across the two cohorts. The next-generation PromarkerD test system offers a convenient yet highly effective tool for DKD risk assessment. By introducing PromarkerD to standard diabetes care, preventative treatment strategies may be implemented early before permanent kidney function loss occurs. Show less

Neuroinflammation is central to Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis, yet its contribution to region-specific brain atrophy remains unclear. We examined whether cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers predict longitudinal atrophy in the hippocampus and basal forebrain and mediate the impact of AD pathology. Data from 227 DELCODE participants with baseline CSF measures and longitudinal structural MRI were analyzed. Four latent factors (synaptic, microglia, chemokine/cytokine, complement) were derived to capture shared variance across biomarkers. Latent factors represent unobserved biological domains inferred from related CSF markers. In addition, four single biomarkers (neurogranin, sTREM2, YKL-40, ferritin) were tested separately. Regional atrophy rates were estimated using linear mixed-effects models including biomarker × time, A/T classification, diagnosis, and covariates (age, sex, education, ApoE-ε4). Individual slopes were then entered into mediation models. Higher synaptic latent factor (β = - 0.019, pFDR = 0.021) and YKL-40 (β = - 0.020, pFDR = 0.025) significantly predicted hippocampal atrophy. Only these two markers remained significant after correction for multiple comparisons. Mediation analyses revealed significant indirect effects of the synaptic latent factor and YKL-40 on hippocampal atrophy across all A/T groups. No biomarker was associated with basal forebrain atrophy (pFDR > 0.05). Latent factors captured shared biological variance across related biomarkers and provided a more robust representation of underlying biological domains than single biomarkers. This approach identified synaptic dysfunction and astroglial activation as key links between AD pathology and hippocampal neurodegeneration. These findings highlight synaptic and glial pathways as promising targets for disease-modifying interventions. Show less

The poultry industry is significantly impacted by viral infections, particularly Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV), which leads to substantial economic losses. It is essential to comprehend how the sequence of development affects biological pathways and how early exposure to infections might affect immune responses. This study employed transcriptome analysis to investigate host-pathogen interactions by analyzing gene expression changes in NDV-infected chicken embryos' lungs. RNA-Seq reads were aligned with the chicken reference genome (Galgal7), revealing 594 differentially expressed genes: 264 upregulated and 330 downregulated. The most overexpressed genes, with logFC between 8.15 and 8.75, included C8A, FGG, PIT54, FETUB, APOC3, and FGA. Notably, downregulated genes included BPIFB3 (-4.46 logFC) and TRIM39.1 (-4.26 logFC). The analysis also identified 29 novel transcripts and 20 lncRNAs that were upregulated. Gene Ontology and KEGG pathways' analyses revealed significant alterations in gene expression related to immune function, metabolism, cell cycle, nucleic acid processes, and mitochondrial activity due to NDV infection. Key metabolic genes, such as ALDOB (3.27 logFC), PRPS2 (2.66 logFC), and XDH (2.15 logFC), exhibited altered expression patterns, while DCK2 (-1.99 logFC) and TK1 (-2.11 logFC) were also affected. Several immune-related genes showed significant upregulation in infected lung samples, including ALB (6.15 logFC), TLR4 (1.86 logFC), TLR2 (2.79 logFC), and interleukin receptors, such as IL1R2 (3.15 logFC) and IL22RA2 (1.37 logFC). Conversely, genes such as CXCR4 (-1.49 logFC), CXCL14 (-2.57 logFC), GATA3 (-1.51 logFC), and IL17REL (-2.93 logFC) were downregulated. The higher expression of HSP genes underscores their vital role in immune responses. Comprehension of these genes' interactions is essential for regulating viral replication and immune responses during infections, potentially aiding in the identification of candidate genes for poultry breed improvement amidst NDV challenges. CSF biomarkers have immense diagnostic and prognostic potential for Alzheimer disease (AD). However, AD is still diagnosed relatively late in the disease process, sometimes even years after the initial manifestation of cognitive symptoms. Thus, further identification of biomarkers is required to detect related pathology in the preclinical stage and predict cognitive decline. Our study aimed to assess the association of neurogranin and β-site amyloid precursor protein-cleaving enzyme 1 (BACE1) with cognitive decline in individuals with subjective cognitive decline (SCD). We enrolled participants with available neurogranin and BACE1 measurements in CSF from the DELCODE (DZNE-Longitudinal Cognitive Impairment and Dementia, Germany) cohort. The longitudinal change of Preclinical Alzheimer's Cognitive Composite score was assessed as the primary outcome in participants with SCD and controls. The secondary outcome was defined as conversion of SCD to mild cognitive impairment (MCI) during follow-up. Levels of neurogranin, BACE1, and neurogranin/BACE1 ratio across groups were compared by analysis of covariance after adjustment for demographics. The linear mixed-effects model and Cox regression analysis were applied to evaluate their association with cognitive decline and progression of SCD to MCI, respectively. A total of 530 participants (mean age: 70.76 ± 6.01 years, 48.7% female) were analyzed in the study. The rate of cognitive decline was faster in individuals with SCD with higher neurogranin and neurogranin/BACE1 ratio (β = -0.138, SE = 0.065, Our findings suggest that CSF neurogranin and BACE1 begin to change in the preclinical stage of AD and they are associated with clinical progression in individuals with SCD. Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) is a key player of lipid metabolism with higher plasma levels in women throughout their life. Statin treatment affects PCSK9 levels also showing evidence of sex-differential effects. It remains unclear whether these differences can be explained by genetics. We performed genome-wide association meta-analyses (GWAS) of PCSK9 levels stratified for sex and statin treatment in six independent studies of Europeans (8936 women/11,080 men respectively 14,825 statin-free/5191 statin-treated individuals). Loci associated in one of the strata were tested for statin- and sex-interactions considering all independent signals per locus. Independent variants at the PCSK9 gene locus were then used in a stratified Mendelian Randomization analysis (cis-MR) of PCSK9 effects on low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels to detect differences of causal effects between the subgroups. We identified 11 loci associated with PCSK9 in at least one stratified subgroup (p < 1.0 × 10 We performed the first double-stratified GWAS of PCSK9 levels and identified multiple biologically plausible loci with genetic interaction effects. Our results indicate that the observed sexual dimorphism of PCSK9 and its statin-related interactions have a genetic basis. Glycogen-storing so-called clear cell kidney tubules (CCTs), precursor lesions of renal cell carcinoma, have been described in diabetic rats and in humans. The lesions show upregulation of the Akt/mTOR-pathway and the related transcription factor carbohydrate responsive element binding protein (ChREBP), which is supposedly pro-oncogenic. We investigated the effect of ChREBP-knockout on nephrocarcinogenesis in streptozotocin-induced diabetic and normoglycemic mice. Diabetic, but not non-diabetic mice, showed CCTs at 3, 6 and 12 months of age. Glycogenosis was confirmed by periodic acid schiff reaction and transmission electron microscopy. CCTs in ChREBP-knockout mice consisted of larger cells and occurred more frequently compared to wildtype mice. Progression towards kidney tumors was observed in both diabetic groups but occurred earlier in ChREBP-knockout mice. Proliferative activity assessed by BrdU-labeling was lower in 1-week-old but higher in 12-month-old diabetic ChREBP-knockout mice. Surprisingly, renal neoplasms occurred spontaneously in non-diabetic ChREBP-knockout, but not non-diabetic wildtype mice, indicating an unexpected tumor-suppressive function of ChREBP. Immunohistochemistry showed upregulated glycolysis and lipogenesis, along with activated Akt/mTOR-signaling in tumors of ChREBP-knockout groups. Immunohistochemistry of human clear cell renal cell carcinomas revealed reduced ChREBP expression compared to normal kidney tissue. However, the molecular mechanisms by which loss of ChREBP might facilitate tumorigenesis require further investigation. Show less

Nucleoli are nuclear compartments regulating ribosome biogenesis and cell growth. In embryonic stem cells (ESCs), nucleoli containing transcriptionally active ribosomal genes are spatially separated from pericentromeric satellite repeat sequences packaged in largely repressed constitutive heterochromatin (PCH). To date, mechanisms underlying such nuclear partitioning and the physiological relevance thereof are unknown. Here we show that repressive chromatin at PCH ensures structural integrity and function of nucleoli during cell cycle progression. Loss of heterochromatin proteins HP1α and HP1β causes deformation of PCH, with reduced H3K9 trimethylation (H3K9me3) and HP1γ levels, absence of H4K20me3 and upregulated major satellites expression. Spatially, derepressed PCH aberrantly associates with nucleoli accumulating severe morphological defects during S/G2 cell cycle progression. Hp1α/β deficiency reduces cell proliferation, ribosomal RNA biosynthesis and mobility of Nucleophosmin, a major nucleolar component. Nucleolar integrity and function require HP1α/β proteins to be recruited to H3K9me3-marked PCH and their ability to dimerize. Correspondingly, ESCs deficient for both Suv39h1/2 H3K9 HMTs display similar nucleolar defects. In contrast, Suv4-20h1/2 mutant ESCs lacking H4K20me3 at PCH do not. Suv39h1/2 and Hp1α/β deficiency-induced nucleolar defects are reminiscent of those defining human ribosomopathy disorders. Our results reveal a novel role for SUV39H/HP1-marked repressive constitutive heterochromatin in regulating integrity, function and physiology of nucleoli. Show less

Changes in DNA methylation can increase or suppress the expression of health-relevant genes. We investigated for the first time the relationship between habitual food consumption and changes in DNA methylation. The German KORA FF4 and KORA Fit studies were used to study the change in methylation over a median follow-up of 4 years. Only subjects participating in both surveys and with available dietary and methylation data were included in the analysis (n = 465). DNA methylation was measured using the Infinium MethylationEPIC BeadChip (Illumina), resulting in 735,527 shared CpGs across both studies. Generalized estimating equation models with an interaction term of exposure and time point were used to analyze the association of 34 food groups, folic acid, and two dietary patterns with changes in DNA methylation over time. The results were corrected for genomic inflation. Significant interaction terms indicate different effects between both time points. We observed only a few significant associations between food intake and change in DNA methylation, except for cream and spirit consumption. The annotated genes include CLN3, PROM1, DLEU7, TLL2, and UGT1A10. We identified weak associations between food consumption and DNA methylation change. The differential results for cream and spirits, both consumed in low quantities, require replication in independent studies. Show less

Identifying genetic determinants of reproductive success may highlight mechanisms underlying fertility and identify alleles under present-day selection. Using data in 785,604 individuals of European ancestry, we identified 43 genomic loci associated with either number of children ever born (NEB) or childlessness. These loci span diverse aspects of reproductive biology, including puberty timing, age at first birth, sex hormone regulation, endometriosis and age at menopause. Missense variants in ARHGAP27 were associated with higher NEB but shorter reproductive lifespan, suggesting a trade-off at this locus between reproductive ageing and intensity. Other genes implicated by coding variants include PIK3IP1, ZFP82 and LRP4, and our results suggest a new role for the melanocortin 1 receptor (MC1R) in reproductive biology. As NEB is one component of evolutionary fitness, our identified associations indicate loci under present-day natural selection. Integration with data from historical selection scans highlighted an allele in the FADS1/2 gene locus that has been under selection for thousands of years and remains so today. Collectively, our findings demonstrate that a broad range of biological mechanisms contribute to reproductive success. Show less

This study aimed to elucidate the aetiological role of plasma proteins in glucose metabolism and type 2 diabetes development. We measured 233 proteins at baseline in 1653 participants from the Cooperative Health Research in the Region of Augsburg (KORA) S4 cohort study (median follow-up time: 13.5 years). We used logistic regression in the cross-sectional analysis (n=1300), and Cox regression accounting for interval-censored data in the longitudinal analysis (n=1143). We further applied two-level growth models to investigate associations with repeatedly measured traits (fasting glucose, 2 h glucose, fasting insulin, HOMA-B, HOMA-IR, HbA We identified 14, 24 and four proteins associated with prevalent prediabetes (i.e. impaired glucose tolerance and/or impaired fasting glucose), prevalent newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes and incident type 2 diabetes, respectively (28 overlapping proteins). Of these, IL-17D, IL-18 receptor 1, carbonic anhydrase-5A, IL-1 receptor type 2 (IL-1RT2) and matrix extracellular phosphoglycoprotein were novel candidates. IGF binding protein 2 (IGFBP2), lipoprotein lipase (LPL) and paraoxonase 3 (PON3) were inversely associated while fibroblast growth factor 21 was positively associated with incident type 2 diabetes. LPL was longitudinally linked with change in glucose-related traits, while IGFBP2 and PON3 were linked with changes in both insulin- and glucose-related traits. Mendelian randomisation analysis suggested causal effects of LPL on type 2 diabetes and fasting insulin. The simultaneous addition of 12 priority-Lasso-selected biomarkers (IGFBP2, IL-18, IL-17D, complement component C1q receptor, V-set and immunoglobulin domain-containing protein 2, IL-1RT2, LPL, CUB domain-containing protein 1, vascular endothelial growth factor D, PON3, C-C motif chemokine 4 and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase type 5) significantly improved the predictive performance (ΔAUC 0.0219; 95% CI 0.0052, 0.0624). We identified new candidates involved in the development of derangements in glucose metabolism and type 2 diabetes and confirmed previously reported proteins. Our findings underscore the importance of proteins in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes and the identified putative proteins can function as potential pharmacological targets for diabetes treatment and prevention. Endometriosis is a common condition associated with debilitating pelvic pain and infertility. A genome-wide association study meta-analysis, including 60,674 cases and 701,926 controls of European and East Asian descent, identified 42 genome-wide significant loci comprising 49 distinct association signals. Effect sizes were largest for stage 3/4 disease, driven by ovarian endometriosis. Identified signals explained up to 5.01% of disease variance and regulated expression or methylation of genes in endometrium and blood, many of which were associated with pain perception/maintenance (SRP14/BMF, GDAP1, MLLT10, BSN and NGF). We observed significant genetic correlations between endometriosis and 11 pain conditions, including migraine, back and multisite chronic pain (MCP), as well as inflammatory conditions, including asthma and osteoarthritis. Multitrait genetic analyses identified substantial sharing of variants associated with endometriosis and MCP/migraine. Targeted investigations of genetically regulated mechanisms shared between endometriosis and other pain conditions are needed to aid the development of new treatments and facilitate early symptomatic intervention. Cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) can activate peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-α (PPARα) and PPARγ. Whether CBDA can activate PPARβ/δ has not been examined sufficiently to date. Since previous studies showed that triple-negative breast cancer cells respond to activation of PPARβ/δ, the present study examined the effect of CBDA in MDA-MB-231 cells and compared the activities of CBDA with known PPARβ/δ agonists/antagonists. Expression of the PPARβ/δ target genes angiopoietin-like 4 (ANGPTL4) and adipocyte differentiation-related protein (ADRP) was increased by CBDA. Interestingly, ligand activation of PPARβ/δ with GW501516 caused an increase in expression of both ANGPTL4 and ADRP, but the magnitude of this effect was markedly increased when co-treated with CBDA. Specificity of these effects were confirmed by showing that CBDA-induced expression of ANGPTL4 and ADRP is mitigated in the presence of either a PPARβ/δ antagonist or an inverse agonist. Results from these studies suggest that CBDA can synergize with PPARβ/δ and might interact with endogenous agonists that modulate PPARβ/δ function. Show less

Plumage divergence can function as a strong premating barrier when species come into secondary contact. When it fails to do so, the results are often genome homogenization and phenotypic hybrids at the zone of contact. This is not the case in the largely sympatric masked woodswallow and white-browed woodswallow species (Passeriformes: Artamidae: Artamus spp) complex in Australia where phenotypic integrity is sustained despite no discernible mitochondrial structure in earlier work. This lack of structure may suggest recent divergence, ongoing gene flow or both, and phenotypic hybrids are reported albeit rarely. Here, we further assessed the population structure and differentiation across the species' nuclear genomes using ddRAD-seq. As found in the mitochondrial genome, no structure or divergence within or between the two species was detected in the nuclear genome. This coarse sampling of the genome nonetheless revealed peaks of differentiation around the genes SOX5 and AXIN1. Both are involved in the Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway, which regulates feather development. Reconstruction of demographic history and estimation of parameters supports a scenario of secondary contact. Our study informs how divergent plumage morphs may arise and be sustained despite whole-genome homogenization and reveals new candidate genes potentially involved in plumage divergence. Show less

Next-generation phenotyping (NGP) is an application of advanced methods of computer vision on medical imaging data such as portrait photos of individuals with rare disorders. NGP on portraits results in gestalt scores that can be used for the selection of appropriate genetic tests, and for the interpretation of the molecular data. Here, we report on an exceptional case of a young girl that was presented at the age of 8 and 15 and enrolled in NGP diagnostics on the latter occasion. The girl had clinical features associated with Koolen-de Vries syndrome (KdVS) and a suggestive facial gestalt. However, chromosomal microarray (CMA), Sanger sequencing, multiplex ligation-dependent probe analysis (MLPA), and trio exome sequencing remained inconclusive. Based on the highly indicative gestalt score for KdVS, the decision was made to perform genome sequencing to also evaluate noncoding variants. This analysis revealed a 4.7 kb de novo deletion partially affecting intron 6 and exon 7 of the KANSL1 gene. This is the smallest reported structural variant to date for this phenotype. The case illustrates how NGP can be integrated into the iterative diagnostic process of test selection and interpretation of sequencing results. Show less
